If your morning routine includes a pit-stop at Starbucks, you no longer need to carry cash or credit to get that cup of joe.
With locations at 2511 Kristen Lane, near 32nd Ave South and 4900 and 3402 13th Avenue South in Fargo, a Starbucks is never far away. The coffee giant last month announced that customers with certain BlackBerry smart phones and those who use iPhones and iPod touch devices would be able to make mobile purchases at all U.S. locations. That means Fargo spots as well as the company’s 6,800 coffee shops and 1,000 in-store Target locations.
We’re on board with any option that offers a quicker way to grab our caffeine, of course. But even more interesting is the means of process improvement and sales effectiveness. For Starbucks tech-savvy customer base, this looks to be a smart move. A story featured in Fargo’s Forum noted:
Starbucks anticipates the program will make it easier and faster for some of its customers to make purchases. Customers can download a free Starbucks Card Mobile App to get started.
Aside from making purchases, customers can use the app to manage their Starbucks Card account, check their card balance, reload their card with any major credit card, check their My Starbucks Rewards status and find a nearby Starbucks using the store locator feature.
